Agreed. With a little practice, you can get pretty fast with a pump. When you factor the time it takes to manage the
recoil on both the semiautomatic and the pump, it turns out you can come very close to being a fast with a pump as you can with the semiauto.
And the pump will never fail to cycle, even if it gets dirty.
