She works for a line of business within the bank that works with a large airline we've all heard of. The bank issues their credit card.
My wife's main responsibility is to work with that airline's flight crews in bases in L.A., New York, Boston, and Orlando to explain new deals with the card so they can pass it on to customers when trying to sell the card during flights.
She visits crew lounges in airports and leads meetings with flight crew members. She gives away things like gift cards and even occasionally Jeeps or tickets to events in the Barclays Center. She also provides catering as extra incentive for flight crew members to speak with her.
When she's in Boston or New York, she cannot provide Chick-fil-A food because it causes people to freak out. There are no issues in LA or Orlando.
Apparently, flight crew members based in those Northeast cities collectively decided that eating Chick-fil-A food supports hate of homosexuals so they won't do it.
It's very weird.
