Fan apathy and have people check out on college sports?

One of the draws of college sports used to be watching guys come in as freshman and develop. Jimmer became who he was right before our eyes and it was magic to watch.

Or take a guy like Yoeli Childs who was athletic but raw and over the course of his career turned into an absolute force on the court.

I don’t get all excited about signing great players. That’s what pro sports is all about. I enjoy watching and connecting with players and watching a program.

With the current system it just seems like it will be a crappier version of the NBA not only in quality of basketball but also in free agency rules and balance.

Who wants to watch that?
