Too small of a niche and nowhere near profitable enough for them to bring it
here. Which they could do by producing it out of one of their US plants.


But by the time you add in required safety features, plus other safety features that are now part of the US Toyota brand, plus any other niceties the US market demands, plus either a diesel that meets US emissions and performance standards or a gas turbo that does, that easily becomes a $25-30K truck.


I fully agree, though, that the chicken tax is way past due to be repealed.
