I am a Utah fan first, but I see many on this board who have low expectations for the Cougars this season. I was impressed with what I saw from the Cougars in their last two games in 2023. They were games that they should have / could have won. These were two of the three best teams in the conference.

I think BYU's defense looks solid and should be improved under second-year DC, Hill. I believe BYU has the best WR group in the conference. If one of the QBs steps up, BYU could win 7-8 games IMO.

I think BYU will win all three preseason games, albeit the game at SMU will not be easy. I think they win against Baylor, ASU, and Houston. I think the game at home against OSU could be an interesting game as well. I don't think there is a team that BYU can't beat, but I doubt they have the depth to be better than 8-4 IMO.
