I know each driver has their own setup preferences in the car, and sometimes one car gets an upgrade before the other. But the way Max always completely dominates everyone, including his own teammate, is remarkable. I know Red Bull scoffs at that suggestion, but it seems it would also behoove them to create a dominant monster that will win every race if he doesn't have car problems.

It's also interesting that the guy everyone thought was the GOAT in Lewis Hamilton looks pretty pedestrian since he's moved to mercedes, and is often getting out pointed by his own teammate (currently 36 for Russell and 26 for Hamilton). I wonder how much of that is Lewis slipping with age and how much is just a below average car. Every time Lewis is on the radio the last few years he's complaining of something that sucks or doesn't work right while Russell just puts his head down and gets after it.

It would be interesting to put Max in some of these other teams' cars and see how well he could do. Seems he is clearly the best driver in the best car and there's nobody particularly close.
