I'm guessing this is KY's gameplan for coaches and recruits....
And he could only do this with the financial blessing of BYU.

His big pitch will be about getting players ready for the NBA and drafted. Right now he has tons of NBA connections with which he can name drop galore and probably bring in some NBA household names for a quick visit to Provo. Can you imagine names like Durant or Paul hanging out with the team for a practice?

But the moment he stepped into the college game, his connections started to dwindle. To help with that, he is going after assistants from the professional basketball ranks as well. This will only bolster the NBA or (other professional leagues) recruiting pitch. Getting assistants from Europe will help with finding talent over there and luring them to Provo. BYU will likely overpay for these assistants knowing full well they probably won't stick around for long and then the plan is to replace them with other assistants from the professional ranks. This will keep the NBA connections churning for BYU and helping with recruiting.

If BYU is willing to spend the money, I think this would be a good gameplan. Especially if they are able to lure top talent from Europe or elsewhere overseas.

Then try and get NIL to another level and you have yourself a winner.
