When you use the capital one travel portal for your $300 annual portal travel credit or whenever else you decide to use it for whatever reason, Capital One has a policy that if after you book and within 24 hours you find a lower price on a different website, they will refund you the difference in travel credit.

I booked a hotel yesterday with my travel credit, found a cheaper price for the same room on Expedia. So I called capital one, within 5 minutes had my travel credit.

They were just like “where do you see the lower price?” I said on Expedia. So they go “yes I see this price that is $xx cheaper than what you paid, I will issue your travel credit now”
