Another apples to oranges I already mentioned: the talent gap between Lanier's N Florida teams & their competition vs
Bryant's BYU teams & their WCC competition.
Also, the prolificness of Lanier's N Florida's offense versus Bryant's BYU offense.
There are REASONS elite D1 programs are not looking to Lanier to simply come in & be a main cog like Bryant was for BYU — but to be the prime scorer for them — even though he only played for a lowly N Florida team last year.

Bryant--even as a Sr--was no Lanier as a total impact player, & he wasn't a true PG anything like Crawford.

That was a pretty prolific offense he played for — that spent much of the year blowing out way outmatched WCC opponents

He wouldn't have been able to do what Lanier did. He was not that level of athlete. Lanier's team sucked.
