means anytime you don't contend for a title, you have choked.
No excuses. For all the resources and draw the Lakers have, its fans should never play the "poor us" card. You never have to rebuild and you just buy your way out of growing pains. So yes, the Lakers choked this year, and last year, and the year before that.
