The incident with Whittingham's wife is disturbing. I am bothered by the Whittingham silence on the whole affair. Mrs. Whittingham should have kept her mouth shut from the very begining. She has completely mischaracterized the whole whole incident to make the BYU fanbase look bad and protect someone very close to her. She and her family are keeping quiet now, not because they are taking the moral high ground, but because she knows how much trouble she and her son are in. She and her family are trying not to make it worse for her and her son and family. The "Ute staffer" was her son. No one was taking pictures of the daughter. When your son punches someone it is assault. When he breaks the photographer's camera, it is assault. When mommy jumps into the fray that is a problem as well.

I am curious when the whole story comes out and we find that it was Whit's son that attacked someone with a cellphone and another person with a camera, who will apologise to the innocent BYU fan. Will those of you on CB that have accused him man up and take your lumps? How about talk radio, the UofU and the Whittingham's? How about the UofU security that stood there and did nothing to help? Believe me, there are fingers to be pointed here, but they are to be pointed at the Whittinghams and the UofU.

I am sure that the UofU is in "CYA" mode just like they were when Brett Ratlif had his "incident". Maybe they will be able to avoid some of it, but not all.
