The best prediction of the future
is usually the present. Of course both conferences are going to improve their television deals, but in terms of predicting relative positions, the best evidence of what will happen in the future is what is happening right now. Of course you make adjustments for certain expected changes, but it is not uncommon to use current revenue projections to make judgments about the future.
