Both teams are from second tier BCS conferences. UW has a highly touted QB, while Pitt has a highly touted RB and WR. None of them had great games. Neither team's opponent had their best game (expected in week one). But there are a few differences:
Team A is likely to win their conference and their fans would (reasonably) be disappointed if they don't win a BCS bowl game.
Team B is likely 4th or 5th best in its conference, hasn't won a road game in years, and their fans would (reasonably) be thrilled to be bowl eligible, forget BCS.
Only on cougarboard is Team B clearly better.
My guess is that even when Pitt wins 10 games and UW wins 5, there will be fans like bdoggy who cling to the belief that UW is better, because to give any credit to Utah (in their mind) somehow diminishes what BYU does. Truth is that the opposite is reality, but insecurity wears blinders.
(Poll Answer is TCU, BSU, UU, BYU, sorry)
