BYU has rarely had 4 game losing streaks in the last 50 years. Here are some stats:

4 game losing streaks don't always correspond with a losing record for the season. However, a 5 or more game losing streak has guaranteed losing seasons. Of course we have still had losing seasons with less than a 4 game losing streak so take it for what it is worth.

That said SDSU is a must win if we have any chance remaining eligible for a bowl game.

I'm sure this may be filed under the DUH category for many but thought the stats could be useful for some.
