I didn't say bad, I said second rate. The Yew is a perfectly servicable little state school, kind of like say UC Riverside or Fresno State are in your neck of the woods. BYU is a University with a national reputation for excellence in multiple fields. It was rated #11 in the nation by recruiters. It outranks the Yew even with the handicap of a low "academic reputation", since most profs at public schools look down their noses at a conservative religously backed school.
So while we cheer for BYU, we are secure in the knowledge of a superior education obtained at one of the nations great universities, no matter what the football score may be.
