I have a good friend that is First Baptist. We have just learned to not center discussions around faith, because he would shut down/head explode if I ever agreed with a philosophy he was espousing by saying his church and the Mormon church had that concept in common. The look on his face was like Satan had a grip on his throat. The best was when I would quote the Book of Mormon to support something he was saying. He's a great guy, so I don't tweak him anymore. He has been taught to be extremely intolerant and obviously intends to stay that way. 17 years of friendship hasn't softened him at all.
