TV BREAKDOWN: BYU v. Utah
Let's break this down in terms even a Ute can understand.
- Likely ESPN/ESPN2 games: Utah 2-4. BYU 3-6 = BYU
- Likely ABC games: Utah 0-1, BYU 0-1 = Wash
- Likely NBC games: Utah 0, BYU 0-1 = BYU
- Likely ESPNU games: Utah 1-2, BYU 3-5 = BYU
- Likely Versus games: Utah 3-4, BYU 0 = UTAH (huge advantage Utes!)
- The Pac-12 Network vs. BYUtv games are a wash, because they're available to everyone, but let's be real, nobody other than the teams fanbase is going out of their way to find BYU v. Southern Miss or Utah v. Oregon State on a Saturday night. The Big 10 Network is evidence of this.
- The BOTTOM Line - the Utes will get rich riding on coat-tails, but will continue irrelevant because very few games will be seen beyond the walls of those "tens of tens" referenced earlier.
