BYU fans outside of the Intermountain West who would have stepped over their own mother to watch BYU games while part of the MWC with the crappy TV deal won't have to fork out money for some special sports package with the conference flagship channel that doesn't even feature HD quality video for many of the games. I guess it will in most cases this year, but that point is as moot just like the point you brought up concerning the day the games are played on. Thursday/Tuesday primetime HD games nationwide >>>>>>> Saturday primetime games on a regional channel that is a pain in the neck to watch, and to try and get on your TV package.

Fact: I paid $23 for lower bowl seats to the Yewtah BYU game @ the MC. I paid $36 for lower bowl to the game up in the HC. Die-hards follow their team even when it isn't convenient or economical to do so. I know this is news to you since you've been a yewtah fan for a grand total of 8 years and any time they play BYU. The fact that the Institute had to start giving away tickets for a game against their arch rival speaks volumes about your fanbase. I don't know about what the Athletic Department did trying to fill the seats for that game, but if you could drop $5 for a ticket - I was a better supporter of your athletics program than a good number of the kooks in red up there for that game.
