and minimize jet lag!
State budgets gone a muck, research outsourced, and pride pooped, it's all for one and one for all in the race for SC Sweet 16. What was true a year ago is no longer in fashion. Now it's what can we do to lure the best of the available in. How do we make the best of what we got, solve the stepchild problem in the desert and add teams according to:
1. National exposure-not regional.
2. Closest rivalries and travel times for ALL SPORTS.
3. Add to the best Conference championship cities-LA, Phoenix-expand to Dallas
4. Pick football teams that are either strong financially or independently supported. (non state supported)
5. Add teams with old rivalries for the PAC step children (ASU and Arizona) which have never fit into the traditional mold of west coast cities)
6. And last but not least, the new elite programs that are shaping the future of the BCS.

Rockies Division of PAC 16
1. Arizona (Old member of WAC)
2. ASU (Gone are the days that ASU went 62 and 9 between 1970-75 in the old WAC)
3. Air Force Academy (old member of WAC) Meets criteria 1,2,4,5
4. BYU (Old member of WAC) 1,2,4,5,6
5. Boise State (the new kid on the block) 2,4,6
6. Colorado (lone orphan of the B12)
7. TCU (another new kid on the block) 1,3,4,6
8. Utah (Old member of WAC)
Sunday play can be worked around (not applicable to Rockies Division), research or what's left of it only needs to be in the Pacific Division-UCLA, Cal, USC, Washington, WSU, Oregon, OSU and Stanford. Pacific division will have to worry more about state budgets since Utah seems to be okay and Boise State is expanding their facilities but Arizona, Colorado and ASU could be dead weight.
