So, apparently my earlier post caused a bit of a stir.
Sorry to post and run. In hindsight, I probably should have waited to post until I had time to respond. I posted the comments immediately after leaving the meeting from my cell phone while the comments were still fresh on my mind. Unfortunately, it was on the way to a get together with my family here in Utah, so there was no time to jump back online to follow-up to the posts.
Let me say that I just reread my post and completely stand by my account of the comments. The only part of my post that was interpretation was my last line "Needless to say he strongly spoke out against the BIG 12." That was my take. I've read other's interpretations who were there and, while I don't completely agree with theirs, they may be right. Time will tell, I suppose.
For those calling me a troll, there's enough people on here and TBS who know me and know that I have no history or motivation to stir the pot. I never have in any of my posts.
I left the meeting tonight pretty convinced that, at least in Samuelson's mind, the Big-12 will not happen. That is my take. You can reread Samuelson's comments and draw your own conclusions. Sorry to be the bearer of potentially bad news.
