BSU not an Albatross, here are some sports to speak of:
Educate yourself with last academic year:
Mens XC WAC Champions
Swimming and Diving Repeat WAC Champs, BSU one of 36 Universities to send multiple swimmers the NCAA Championships and placed 39th out of 195 at the event
Mens Indoor Track WAC Champs
Gymnastics WAC Champs, 3rd place NCAA Regionals (BYU was 6th at this event)
W Tennis 2nd Place (But we all know this program isnt going anywhere anytime soon, credit them for the LOIC hammer)
M Tennis Been a Top 25 many times before
Mens BBall Lost by 3 to Pac-12 bound Utah, 2nd place WAC, went to semifinals of CBI tourney. Most recognize that this is an up and coming program and the MWC will help that.
Softball (Lost to BYU by one run last year)
BSU ended up 83rd in the most recent Learfield standings, sure it's not BYU's 37th place finish, but current Big-12 member Kansas was only 72nd and people aren't calling Kansas an albatross during low caliber 2003-2006 basketball seasons.
