1. BYUtv is great. Really great. Professional production. Cleve is good. Jarom is good. To be able to watch it anytime on BYUtv.org in HD is awesome. We have something that no other school has. Kudos to BYU for this.

2. Carlino looks very comfortable with the ball in his hands. Quick, good handles, seems to see the floor well, has a lot of zip on his passes. I am very optimistic about him at the point going forward, and he's only a freshman.

3. Davies looks great. He will be All-WCC, and the focal point of our half-court offense.

4. Rose has assembled a very athletic group. Some of the key players will be young (Carlino, Harrison, Austin) so I don't expect us to hit on all cylinders all the time, but by the end of the year, this group will be very good. Next year, with everyone back, they will be great.

5. Collinsworth has a ways to go before he's in form. Looked rusty and out of shape.

6. We have some real length (Austin, Collinsworth, Sharp, Rogers, etc.) We should be very good defensively when these guys get in shape and get the system down. They will be all over the passing lanes.

Very optimistic about this group because of the athleticism. Level of success will depend a lot on how well Abouo and Davies can play in clutch moments. I worry a little about Abouo in the tough moments. Hopefully he delivers.
