Last night Coach Rose talked about Carlino and said that what really makes Matt special is his shooting ability. I gathered from the interview that Carlino is one of the best outside shooters on the team. Rose thinks that Carlino's ability to fiil it up like that will force teams to stick close to him and that will open up more shots for the other guys.

There is no denying that Utah was daring Winder to shoot last weekend. Cusick made Utah pay for that strategy some but it sounds like Carlino would do so even more. Hopefully Carlino will prove to be a reliable distributor and defender as well.
