Cheaper Birth Control?

Does anyone know much about Birth Control? We are currently buying the generic version of it already and pay $80 a month for it. I have heard that Obama passed a law or something that it would become free? Or other alternatives to not have to pay that kind of money? My wife has to take it for health reasons I guess, she has had to for quite a while, well before we were married. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It is killing me financially as I am still a student..
