I think the truth is the better team usually wins. Utah beat BYU 54-10 because they were the better team. Not because of magic. Not because the moon was positioned a certain way. Utah was just a better team.

Now, KW is a better X and O coach but he's also a better motivator and recruiter. You put all 3 of those together and most years Utah will beat BYU. Sometimes things are just that simple.
