In addition to the great suggestions above ...
a few other ideas are:

1. Lombard St - Near Fisherman's Wharf, you can easily get directions online. Start at the top and wind your way down. You can park at the bottom for pics if you want.

2. Coit Tower - Wife and I visited this site a few months ago for the 1st time. Great views of the city, the bay, and Alcatraz. Inside, there are very interesting murals painted by famous artists depicting life in San Francisco during the depression.

3. Art museums - San Francisco has several amazing art museums.

4. Union Square - Last time we were there, they were having Korean day. There were many Korean shows and demonstrations (dancing, tae kwon do, etc.) and lots of Korean food.
