It's a rarity that any one book/series has it all. Some books appeal because of the development of interpersonal relationships (Twilight and I think Hunger Games), while others develope a better storyline or lot. Some do a better job on setting and descriptions. Collins is not very good at wrapping up her stories (read her Gregor Overlander series if you like being disappointed in Hunger Games fashion). But I still find her stuff enjoyable. I'd put her at mid-tier.
