Additionally, I also think Whitt wants to play BYU but that does not look like it will happen. So, Whitt and Hoke want to play each other. It's kind of an approval after their respective ADs have made the call. I am sure there are other teams that Whitt would like to play, where the opponents coach feels the same way, but are still not playing each other.
Look, twist it all you want. The AD makes the call. He will take input from others but ultimately makes the call.
Bronco does not make the call for who BYU playes. Holmoe does.
I am happy about the Michigan game. Along with Stanford, Oregon, USC, UCLA, Cal, Washington, etc, we also get Michigan in 2014. Nice.
And yes we care about it but they still don't make the call. My guess is that if drugged with truth serum, Bronco would admit that he really doesn't want to play the rivalry game.
I get the sense that Bronco really does not like to play Utah. And if there is one person who is not sad to see it go, if it does in fact go, that person is Bronco.
