time to do some math...
Romney Stadium seats about 25,500. Within a 30 mile radius there are about, what? 110,000 people? People come up from salt lake as well but that is also about a 1 hr 45 min drive by the time they get to the stadium. So Cache Valley has about 1/4 of the population of cache valley there when Romney is filled on a gameday.
Lavell Edwards stadium seats about 60,000. Within Utah county alone there is about 550,000 people. Not to mention the thousands of people on the south end of salt lake about 30-45 min drive away, and byu has games where there are less than 50,000 people there? (not reported, actual butts in the seats) Which is a much smaller percentage of attendance of people than are attending games in logan.
There just isn't the numbers for usu, I realize that. And maybe those numbers will grow with fans on the wasatch front if the team keeps winning, but in general and comparatively speaking, there is great support for USU in logan. Some supporter of USU just anonymously donated $5 mil for the new workout facility...there is definitely strong support. One of the things that is keeping GA there as long as he has been.
