My experience - sat by San Diego State fans, walked through San Diego State
tailgate parties and I did not have one negative encounter. Not one. They treated us repectfully. I remarked to my daughter how much nicer it was to be in San Diego playing San Diego State than in Las Vegas at the MWC Basketball tournament playing UNLV where we were yelled at continually before the game, during the game and even in the parking lot after the game and BYU lost. San Diego had police cars all over the stadium parking lot so maybe that helped. But, even when there was a chance for someone to yell at us, nobody did. There was one fellow wearing a Santa outfit and he said, "You won't get any presents this Christmas." That was funny! I'll give kudos to San Diego State fans. They were good fans. There might have been a few negative things happen but I did not experience it, and I walked through the tailgate groups going to and from the Cougartown tent.
