I wanted home scheduling to be better, but as time goes on, I think

it's unrealistic to expect it because fewer and fewer teams in the bigger conferences have anything to gain from scheduling BYU, especially later in the season. That's the biggest downside to indy, clearly. But I do think that indy has several advantages over being in the MWC.
