Nice Summary. For the readers, would you add....
Position list, Name, Height and Weight.

That information is meaningful in some ways. For example, in last year's Oregon State Game, Cody Vaz exploited BYU's relatively 'short' middle. Both Ogletree and Kavienga were barely 5'11" tall in cleats. They were phenomenal in the middle, but their height and wingspans were smaller. Their protection shadow was shorter and so really good accurate passers had a larger zone behind them (just out of their respective coverage shadows. Both OSU and SJSU exploited them in the middle zones several times. Fantastic players, would have been tougher in the middle zone if they were 6'-1 to 6'-2. That 2-3 inch reach really extends the coverage shadow behind them and makes the safeties jobs a little easier.

Beck seems a little light for a MLB. I don't see him as an every down player but he may also be more of a 2nd KAT on passing downs. I love that fact that Beck, Pikula and Unga are all legitimate 6'1" tall players. At around 235-240, Pikula and Unga have run stopping girth and hips to go with their 75" Wingspans. Ogletree had a 70" Wingspan and Kavaienga a 71" Wingspan. With similar speed and quickness, that means all three players play with a significantly larger tackle range. They won't have a greater range at first as they must gain more FT game experience as decision makers. But in 3-5 games that middle is going to be fantastic and maybe eventually better than what BYU lost.

Fua is rangy for a SAM at 6'-5 and 218, but he really seems to play well when he gets the chance. Again his 78" Wingspan makes throwing the ball on his side a lot more difficult and the TE's he picks up can't just reach up and grab a ball uncontested. This is a guy that if he gets underneath (between the TE and the QB) he's going to get the PBU and maybe even the pic.

Leute-Doureye behind Van Noy is another star just biding time behind an all time great. He has good WILL speed. He's built more like a MLB and is three inches shorter than KVN. But he has good instincts as a rush end on the edge and he has good run stopping capabilities. He'll probably never make us forget KVN (maybe no player can). But when he spells KVN, there is little drop off in terms of making it tough to get yardage on the edge in either the C - F gaps while running, or on the bubble screens, curls, quick outs and inside slants. His height concerns me long term. I prefer OLB's to be at least 6'2 or taller. But he is smart and makes up for size in decision making. Still I wonder if some of the recent recruits won't eventually push him inside where he would fit the LOU spot much better.

Those are my comments. I like this group! Last year, BYU's LB group barely showed up on some of the 2012 pre-season radar scopes. By end of the year, only Alabama was probably more highly ranked. This group could have a similar below the radar profile and turn out to be a top 5 unit as well.
