The shimano Tiagra and Sora components aren't horrible, but they are probably the lowest entry level I would consider. The bike itself looks to be in pretty good shape. I love my cannondale. I test rode fuji, specialized, felt, trek, and a bianchi - and I liked the cannondales I rode better than all of these. So for me, I recommend the caad8 frame.
But the components aren't anything special and are probably the minimum of what you can/should get on really ANY entry level bike.
In all honesty - when I bought mine I ended up with one that was a little older, but with components that were a little higher up. I haven't been disappointed. It was new enough to have the carbon forks, but the rest is aluminum. But after trying out my friends bike that was newer with lower end components - I think I made the right decision.
