There really is a lot of luck involved. You either choose the right location for the drop by sheer luck or, if they place it in a location where no one is stationed (as they did in Madison), then you are in luck if you know the area.

The person who placed it said their first choice for the location drop was Monona Terrace but when they showed up they saw a lot of BYU fans. They were told by BYU that if there are fans just hanging around the drop location that they should take it somewhere else. Once again, we were lucky because we had no one at Monona Terrace (save a 38 week pregnant lady 2 blocks away). I am sure everyone who participates and doesn't get the box (i.e. everyone except maybe 60-70 people) are disappointed in the location of the box.
