Bronco's defense was #3 because he had two stellar players.

I do give him credit for recruiting Kyle Van Noy. Ziggy fell into his lap. Many defenses would have looked pretty good with those two players. But stars do matter, and many teams develop players better than BYU does. #83 in college programs with players in the NFL.
