An NFL QB falls into our lap, wants to play for us, and we just...can't...see anything in him apparently. Instead, we settle for a QB circus that delivered some of the worst offensive productivity of the modern Cougar era and utterly wasted some of our best defenses.
Even competent BYU O in that era lands us some marquee wins for the ages. We didn't have one, and in large part, it was because we lacked production at the QB position that was 100% ours for the taking, had we but reached into our own locker room....
