The WCC officiating is not good, but that loss had little to do with calls. How many free throws did USD miss before the final minute of the game? Heck, how many did they miss during the final minute? It can be extremely frustrating to see the missed calls, but BYU has got to learn to play through it. The refs are the same bad refs for both teams, and I do not believe that every ref team, has a personal vendetta against BYU. They do miss a lot of calls for Haws, because Haws makes tough shots look easy. His game is extremely fluid, which also explains why he gets a lot of the calls that they do call, because he moves so well without the ball, that his defenders end up grabbing him from behind or fouling him hard. The touch fouls, that would and should be called, are missed because Haws has the strength and pure shot to shoot through them. BYU lost that game, because of selfish play from guys that kept shooting when they were cold, poor shot selection by everyone not name Haws, lazy passing, and probably the worst defensive effort that they have played all season. I nearly went crazy, after continually seeing the USD power forwards completely open under the basket one more time, because the BYU players guarding them; were lost on their assignments after the most basic screen or passing.
