Whatever you do, get the impact drill. I love Dewalt but Makita's impact
package is awesome. Home Depot will price match. I don't have an impact but borrow my dads, anytime it's not around I hate being left with my regular drill.

I've never really used an impact drill. Do you just like the compact size?

So do I need the regular screw drill? Or should I just save $ and get impact?

The impact can do all the screw drill can. The screw drill can not do all

I'd get the regular drill to drill holes, impact to drive screws, bolts, etc.

Much, much more power. I use it to put in 6 or 8 inch

These debates are like Ford vs. Chevy. I have both and they perform the same.

Definitely go lithium. Also, store inside. Cold kills batteries.

Cold does not "kill batteries". In fact cold can help prolong the life of a

Also, is the 20V vs. 18V and issue you would be concerned with?

20v is preferable but more $$$ 18v is more than sufficient for a DIY guy.

I purchased the 20V MAX when I was building my home. It is far and away
