I remember a couple years ago Harvard beat Cincinnati (I think) in March Madness

The guy doing the play by play talked about how the kids at Harvard had so much going on for them in their life after basketball (going on to be doctors, business owners, etc.) and the guys from Cincinnati placed a much higher priority on basketball because for many of them, it was going to be the highlight of their life.

Then Harvard won.
