If you told me going into the season that we would end up 4-4 and that we wouldn't get blown out in a single game and we would be very competitive in every loss... Obviously I would have liked hearing we would be 5-3 or 6-2 more... but realistically, I'd probably accept that outcome as being a general positive. I would have strongly preferred one of those Ws was Utah, but oh well.
However, after watching the four losses...its a hard pill to swallow. The UCLA game was not as close as the score reflects, but the other 3 losses are hard to take. Its easy to say before the game (as I did last night), I just don't want to get blown out! Then you are in a position where you aren't getting blown out, and you realize, no...you want to win. You want to win every single game. Even in games where you win, you realize you don't just want to win, you want to have played well.
I'm glad the fanbase in general has high standards and great expectations, and I believe (despite how it looks sometimes) the players and coaches do to.
