I like the heat and I love it in Arizona. My family and I are able to maintain an active, outdoor lifestyle during the summer, because it is what we like to do. Bike rides, swimming, sprinklers, slip n' slides, trampolines, summer camps etc.
Personally, I'd rather spend 5 minutes applying sunscreen and let my kids run around in their swim suites all day, versus bundling layers on and off, over and over again in a colder climate.
Yes, it is hot this time of year, and I expect it to be. Every year, end of June we will get a 110+ heat wave.
We plan on it and have a ton of fun in the pool, in the mountains or just hanging out.
Similarly, if I went to a colder climate, let's say Utah in January, I'm expecting it to be cold and accommodate accordingly.
Let's just be honest, we'd all rather be in San Diego right now anyway...
