Maybe it's time to face it that we're probably going to see an average of 2-3 ypc from GB RBs though the year, no matter who is out there. Of course, all people can do is look at numbers on paper. I think just about anyone at any time is capable of something solid. But most of the time it's going to turn out to be something like this.
Although they'd be better off letting whoever it is stay consistent. RBs need reps, period. You can't bring a guy in for a handful or fewer carries and then say he's not good. I mean, is Jamaal not capable of going 3 quarters with 1 yd, 5, 1, 5, 2, 3, 0, 0?
Or 0, 7, 1, 5, -1, 1?
I was excited about the opportunity but the more I think about it, GB isn't the greatest place for him. He needs a little adjustment period for things to slow down and he gets back to what he used to be doing between the tackles, but that's never going to happen in GB. No matter who it is, they won't stay consistent with anyone. They don't get consistent reps and get in a groove. When they do, guys can look good. But the way they play, we're likely to see a whole bunch of games with 3 ypc from whoever the contributors are.
Hunt is looking very good an deserves a ton of credit, but man he landed in a sweet spot.
