-Big Ten adds Texas and Kansas (both AAU schools)
-ACC adds Notre Dame football and West Virginia
-SEC adds Oklahoma and Oklahoma State

That leaves the remaining 5 teams in the Big 12:
Kansas State
Iowa State
TCU
Texas Tech
Baylor

They add in BYU, Houston, and Cincinnati to increase their numbers to 8 along with possibly 2-4 additional teams (from UCF, South Florida, UConn, Memphis, Boise St, or others). That conference would be right up there with the lower end of the P5 in terms of a competitive standpoint (routinely having 3-5 ranked teams w/ 1-2 in the top 10), but what they'd be lacking is the "name" schools that garner that national attention and headlines.
