I'm not saying I agree with the original premise but, like football, there are only so many legitimate options for BYU with the LDS requirement. So BYU fans should have a fairly good grasp on who the candidates would be. Unless Tom is willing to go way outside the box and hire a random HS, D2, or JC coach (as was done with Cleveland), there are only a handful of coaches in the hiring pool. At this point the next BYU coach would likely come from the group of Pope, Madsen, Jensen, Lewis, Rahe (LDS?), Peery, or Judkins.
