We're losing to Northern Illinois, Fresno State, and Utah State. We can beat Michigan State and Wisconsin but not UMass or East Carolina? That's coaching!! We have talent here, BYU can attract talent. We are usually in games until the end, when we shoot ourselves in the foot. Sometimes we run into Michigan, LSU, or Washington and we can't keep up, but we are usually in 11 or 12 of the 13 games on our schedule. A better coach and staff than we currently have could get us those wins. If you want to get angry, go look at our 2016 schedule. Taysom and Jamaal running wild and we can only beat a bad AZ team 18-16? We lose 4 games by a combined 8 points?? That's Kalani's learning curve right there! A good staff would have made up for some of those, if not all and we could have had our special season with our special players! Here we are 3 years later, watching the same bad decisions and wrong game plans. How long do you want to give him?

Will we build a machine like they have at Clemson and Alabama? No, of course not. But we should be able to make some noise and spend a season in the rankings once every 3 or 4 years.

Kalani is a DC. Give him some talent on that side of the ball and I believe he can get you a stout defense. He is not a good head coach. How many short fields did we give Utah last game? How many did they give us? How many turnovers did we hand them? How many did they hand us? How many the year before and the year before that? Did you ever stop to consider why we make those dumb plays while Utah and others (Utah State, Boise State, etc) don't? Is it because the players run faster 40's? Or because they lift more? It is 1000% coaching and it's not getting better!

We have talent this year and we had talent Taysom and Jamaal's Sr year, but we wasted it all while we wait for Kalani and his band of misfit ward member/family member/retired BYU alum to get up to speed on how to coach football. 4 years is long enough and double the amount of time at most competitive schools.
