Biggest similarity is the losses to historically mediocre/bad programs

With Crowton, I remember thinking: “Yeah, we lost to that big-name program, but surely BYU will take care of business vs UNLV (or New Mexico, Wyoming, etc)” and then the team would come out and just look really ordinary and uninspired and get beat by a program that LaVell would have beaten by 20 pts.

Crowton’s record over 4 yrs was 26-23. Kalani thru 3.5 yrs, 21–23.
