Saying it did not affect the team, to play a top-10 schedule the first four games and then travel to the East coast for two games in a row after, would be naive. That was a very worn-down team playing Toledo and USF. Still no excuse to lose, but there is a reason almost every major team plays cupcakes the first few games.
