Utah got in the tournament but didn't get an easy draw. I don't think Duke's defense will give up anything to them.
Still, I'm not a fan of Duke's park it in front of their own goal, defensive style. It will be interesting seeing to what extent they push the offense against Utah. They should because they're more talented by quite a bit. But it's not their style. It would be to Utah's advantage to try to turn it into a boring 0-0, no one wants to play offense game to see if it can get to penalty kicks.
Number of goals scored by Duke in their conference games: 1,3,0,0,0,1,1,4,0,0. And this is from a team that made the NCAA tournament. The 4 goals came against the worst ACC team, Syracuse (3-11-2). They scored more in some of their non-conference games against inferior competition, so perhaps they'll try that strategy against Utah. But at least for most of the season they haven't particularly tried to push the offense much, or really at all.
