Those were severely lacking under Bronco. He needs to add more talent to the DLine, specifically pass rushers, and speed to the WR corps (Chris Jackson helps). There are some players at BYU that are there because of Kalani that Bronco would not have been able to get (Tonga, Ah You, Wilson, Fauatea, Empey, Hoge, Tofa, etc).
In today’s world of college football, BYU wont ever get the majority of blue chip LDS players regardless of coach. But Kalani is doing a solid job recruiting. BYU already has commitments from Maiava, Isaiah Tupou, Rocky aitogi, Bodie Schoonover who have multiple P5 offers and are still in contention for Gentry, Tate Romney, Kody Epps, Jake Griffin, Solatoa Moeai, Ace Kaufusi, and Keanu Tanuvasa who all have P5 offers.
