The AL averages just 2.8% (4.59 vs 4.46) more runs per game than the NL

And NL starting pitchers actually go deeper into games than AL starting pitchers. Combine those statistics with the strategy employed in the NL vs the fill out the lineup card and fall asleep strategy of the AL, and the NL is a far more entertaining and interesting product than the AL.
